Attached is an article posted on ACENET
yesterday on the Consumer Marketing homepage regarding a paint email that was
deployed on Friday evening. Please make all your cashiers and sales team aware
of this follow up from the FREE quart promotion.
Paint Offer Email and Direct Mailer Deploying on Friday, Oct. 12
Beginning Friday, Oct. 12 we will reach out to 2012 Free Paint Saturday responders with an exclusive offer intended to drive paint and paint supply sales and increase foot traffic in stores. This promotion allows us the opportunity to continue the conversation with these engaged consumers and motivate them to complete a paint purchase.
We will contact responders through email and direct mail with a coupon for either $5 off or $10 off $50 their next paint project. The coupon is valid through Nov. 21 and can be redeemed on all paint and paint supplies.

What is the offer?
Email Campaigns:
On Friday, Oct. 12, we'll deploy a paint content email to three different segmented groups. Free Paint Saturday responders (Ace Rewards and non-Ace Rewards members) will receive a version of the email with $10 off their paint purchase of $50 or more. The coupon is manufacturer-funded and will be free to retailers. There is not an option to opt out of this promotion.
Additionally, Ace Rewards members who did not participate in Free Paint Saturday will receive a version of the email that does not include the coupon offer.
Direct Mail Campaign:
We will also send a direct mail piece to Free Paint Saturday responders who provided a physical address, but not an email address. There will be two versions of the direct mail piece. The offer will either feature "$5 off your next painting project" or "$10 off your paint project of $50 or more." The offer is also manufacturer-funded and there is no retailer cost for the mailing.
