When writing up a window or screen repair, if you are not 100% sure of what it will take to repair it (parts AND labor), call for assistance. It is very easy to miss something or forget to add something on the write up, and can be frustrating for Steve or Rick to have to call the customer during the repair and explain that we did not write the window up right, we need extra parts, we cannot perform the work, etc.
- Example: Today a customer brought an old wooden window with very small quarter round holding the glass in. I knew from watching Louie that these almost never come out intact, and we do not have any quarter round that we could replace it with. I explained this to the customer, and told him that if we could not get the window apart intact, we would have to glaze the windows in. He was that type of customer that would have been irritated if we had to call him after the fact to explain this, but was fine with glazing the window if we had to since it was explained to him upfront.

Does anyone remember the SNL skit 'Deep Thoughts with Jack Handy'??? Here are a few of my favorites :)
"To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kinda scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus and a clown killed my dad."
"I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it."
"To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, 'Hey, can you give me a hand?' You can say, 'Sorry, got these sacks.' "
